This is a simple, yet very delicious and delicate in the mouth. This Arroz Con Leche dish is very sweet and simple; the warm raisin and cinnamon flowers would be a delight for your tongue too. The most interesting part is that unlike most other dishes, it is great even when served cold!

This recipe is a classic Latin American desert, and you know that anything Latin American is great for the tongue. It is made with rice, milk, condensed milk, sugar, lime zest and cinnamon. There are many variations to the original recipe, so if other recipes have some different ingredients from this, it is just a variation of the dish; it is all about preferences.

Steps

1
Done

The first step is to pour your rice, 6 cups milk, sugar, lime zest, cinnamon sticks, and salt into cooking the pot, and stir to mix them together.

2
Done

After mixing them together, close the pressure cooking lid and set the pressure release valve to seal. Select the pressure function, set the temperature to high, and set the cooking time to 2 minutes.

3
Done

When cooking is complete, and the timer has stopped counting, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, and after this, do a quick release for the remaining pressure by removing the pressure release valve from seal to vent. Remove the lid carefully after the unit has released the remaining pressure.

4
Done

The next step is to add sweetened condensed milk to the cooking pot and stir to mix it with the contents in the pot already.

5
Done

Select the saute function, set the temperature to medium (MD), and push the start button to begin. Allow it to simmer for 5 minutes, while you frequently.

6
Done

The next step is to carefully remove the cooking pot to a surface that is heat-safe. After removing the pot, stir in the remaining milk; allow it to cool for about 15 minutes after stirring.

7
Done

Your Arroz Con Leche is ready! You can serve warm, or you can cool it to room temperature then refrigerate and serve cold, garnished with ground cinnamon.
