Laelia

Laelia occur naturally from Mexico and Central America. They are popular for their easily grown, showy and colorful flowers. The flowers usually come in shade of purple, pink, white and yellow. The flowering seasons of the plants are summer, autumn, Spring and Winter. These Plants grow in warm condition, but it enjoy indoor temperature while it bloom.
Appearance : Laelia have elongated bulb like stem, which contain 1 sometime 2 thick semi rigid leaves. Flowers borne from apex or tip of the stem. Usually flowers contain 8 pollen bundles or pollinia.
Humidity : Laelia needs good amount of humidity. It contain thick, spongy root. Phalenopsis orchids grow best with a humidity tray underneath them.
