It takes about 40 minutes to completely make the Seared Sausage with Cabbage and Pink Lady Apples. It gets its flavor from apples, specifically fresh Pink Lady apples and a big splash of apple cider.

Steps

1
Done

Pour oil into the cooking pot, and set to sauté function, and allow it to heat up.

2
Done

Add sausage and cook, turning occasionally, until golden brown. Do this for about 6 - 8 minutes, thereafter transfer it to a plate.

3
Done

After the first step, you can then add apples to the pot; you should try to cut the sides down.

4
Done

Scatter onion and cabbage around apples, after this apply salt and pepper to season. Continue to cook, stirring onion occasionally, until apples are golden brown; you should do this for about 3 to 4 minutes.

5
Done

The next thing is to flip the apples to allow even penetration and cooking. Place the sausage in the basket, settling among vegetables; after this, add cider and vinegar. Simmer, rotating and turning sausages occasionally. You should continue to turn and rotate until sausages are well cooked and apples become tender; this should take about 18 to 20 minutes.

6
Done

The next thing is to serve and enjoy your sausage dinner.

7
Done

It should be noted, however, that the choice of apple to be used is very important. Apples like Red Delicious and Gold delicious should be avoided because they do not hold up well in heat, while apples like Pink Lady or Gala do well in holding up to heat.
