4 cups (1 liter) Milk
¼ cup (60 g) Sugar
1 tablespoon shelled Pistachios nuts, skins removed and coarsely ground
1 tablespoon Almonds , finely ground (optional)

Place the milk into a pot and simmer over very low heat. Stir constantly until the milk has thickened and is reduced to about 1 cup (250 ml), or until the milk is the color of the ice cream in the photo (about 1 hour).

Stir the sides of the pot constantly to prevent the milk from burning, add the sugar and pistachios and allow to cool. Freeze in individual metal containers such as jelly molds.
