Preheat a charcoal grill with time so that it is very hot, but the flame has died down.

Place a grill about 3 inches away from the fire.

When the grill is very hot, place the steak(at room temperature) with your hands (do not use a fork) on top of the grill. Cook for about 5 minutes.

Flip over using tongs (do not pinch with a fork), season the cooked side with salt, and grill on the other side for 5 to 6 minutes.

Flip over, season the other side with salt, and grill for a couple minutes more.

Serve on a wooden cutting board, let rest for 1 minute, and enjoy while still hot. You can add a grinding of pepper if desired.
