Bulbophyllum

Mostly Bulbophyllum is found in tropical area. It is sympodial pseudobulbs with one-two leaves that is close or far spacedon the rhizome. More people are interested in this genus because of its unusual form and the color of the flowers.
Watering, Potting Medium and Container : The plant should be heavily watered during it's growth period. Similarly good air movement is necessary to keep leaf away from fungus as the plant is kept moist fungus is the main problem. We must use fungicide spray monthly to prevent from fungus.
Light : Bright shade of light is suitable for this plant. Full morning sun up to noon is suitable light condition for the bulbos.
Temp : The temperature range for this plant is about 45˚F to 95 ˚F.
Fertilizing : Organic fertilizer such as fish emulsion, cow manure teas are suitable for bulbos. We must be sure that fertilizer formula must match the potting medium. Adequate amount of fertilizers has micronutrients to provide strength for new growth as well as support for the flowers.
Pests : Bulbos are mainly bothered by bug infection, which can be easily cured by 70% isopropyl alcohol and soap drench.
