Ingredients

For the Topping
2 Tablespoons (30 ml) Unsalted Butter
½ cup (120 ml) Brown Sugar , packed
1/3 cup (80 ml) All-Purpose Flour
Cinnamon
For the Batter
4 Tablespoons (60 ml) Unsalted Butter
¾ cup (180 ml) White Sugar
1 Large Egg
1 teaspoon (5 ml) Pure Vanilla Extract
½ cup (120 ml) Milk
2 teaspoons (10 ml) Baking Powder
2 cup (480 ml) All-Purpose Flour
2 cup (480 ml) Frozen Blueberries

Mixing the Topping

Using a fork and mixing bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and flour; season with cinnamon to taste.

Press ingredients together until blended and set aside.

Mixing the Batter

Heat oven to 375° F/190° C/Gas Mark 5.

Cream butter, white sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.

Alternately add milk, baking powder, and flour.

Fold in frozen blueberries.  Work quickly from here forward to keep the blueberries from thawing.

Spread batter into a 9 x 9 inch square pan, then crumble topping evenly on top.

Bake at for 35 minutes.

Cut in 6 to 9 even pieces and serve fresh – warm or cool.  Store in a tightly sealed container.
